This book takes the historical process of China's growth from a low-income developing country to the second largest economy in the world after the reform and opening-up as the background, the practical process of China's economy moving from a big country to a strong country as the main clue, and the outstanding contradictions and main problems facing China's economic development in the second decade of the 21st century as the breakthroughs, and applies the methods of the unity of history and logic, and the combination of normative analysis and empirical analysis. Using a methodology that combines history and logic, normative analysis and empirical analysis, and based on statistical tests and case studies, the book analyzes, argues, reveals and clarifies a series of major theoretical and practical issues, strategies and tactics that China's economy has to face and solve as it moves from a big country to a strong one.
