Different from the existing literature that uses a single method to study the problem of interregional convergence, this book constructs a comprehensive convergence research methodological system while studying the consumption trend of rural residents in China, including random kernel method focusing on descriptive statistics, limited mixed distribution model focusing on statistical testing, and quantile regression model focusing on interpretation, so this framework has the functions of descriptive statistical analysis, statistical testing and result interpretation. In addition, spatial effects are explicitly considered in this system, so as to avoid the influence of spatial effects on the research results and ensure the reliability of the research results. The results show that: (1) the consumption expenditures of rural residents in China are generally convergent in the Twin Peaks Club; (2) There was significant spatial autocorrelation in per capita total consumption expenditure, per capita categorical consumption expenditure and per capita net income; (3) Per capita net income is the primary factor determining consumption convergence, and income and spatial factors combined explain almost all consumption convergence information.(AI翻译)
