工作设计和激励最初被视为两项截然不同的管理职能,管理者很少将二者联系起来。在当今时代,人力资本已经成为企业在激烈的市场竞争中最重要的资本之一,工作设计开始在员工激励中发挥起举足轻重的作用。除了设置合理的薪酬体系、通过物质报酬激发员工的外在动机,管理者开始通过工作设计激发其内在动机。本书从工作设计理论以及动机问题的自我决定理论出发,采用工作设计视角、考虑个体的基本心理需要的满足,研究如何通过工作任务的内容与性质本身激发个体的内在动机。在研究过程中,本书引入了认知神经科学的实验方法,以期更为客观地测度个体的内在动机水平。

Job design and motivation were initially seen as two distinct management functions, and managers rarely linked the two. In today's era, human capital has become one of the most important assets for enterprises in the fierce market competition, and work design has begun to play a pivotal role in employee motivation. In addition to setting up a reasonable salary system and stimulating the extrinsic motivation of employees through material compensation, managers began to stimulate their intrinsic motivation through work design. Starting from the theory of work design and the self-determination theory of motivation problems, this book adopts the perspective of work design, considers the satisfaction of the basic psychological needs of individuals, and studies how to stimulate the intrinsic motivation of individuals through the content and nature of work tasks themselves. In the course of the study, this book introduces experimental methods from cognitive neuroscience in order to more objectively measure the level of intrinsic motivation of individuals.
