The issue of energy consumption is a hot issue of social concern. With the development of urbanization and industrialization, the consumption pattern and level of household energy in rural areas of China are changing. There are about 3 million villages in China, inhabited by half of China's population, and the changing trend of rural household energy consumption may not only affect the future energy supply mode and infrastructure construction planning of rural areas, but even affect the economic development mode of rural areas, and the overall planning and design of regional and even national energy, environmental and other policies. In this study, Linli Village, Yinying Town, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province, was selected as the research object to discuss the energy consumption level, structure, willingness and trend of rural areas under the background of urbanization in this study, which can provide reference for research on energy, environment, public policy and other related fields and the formulation of rural energy policies in similar areas.
