The China Rural Survey Volume 2013 is the result of the Hundred Villages Observatory project. The "100 Villages Watch" program, a rural survey platform of the China Rural Studies Research Center of Central China Normal University, plans to follow up and observe 258 villages and 4,000 rural households in 258 villages across the country for 10, 20, 30 years, or even longer. The "100 Villages Watch" project is a continuation of the central research methodology.
